Khoi Hui Sur Taal (The Lost Melody)
Ek zamana tha jab Neelam naam ki ek choti si pahadi basti thi, jahan har subah panchi gaate the aur har shaam hawa mein kisi na kisi sangeet ki dhun tairti rehti thi. Is basti ke log sangeet se gehra lagav rakhte the. Unka man'na tha ki unki khushiyon ka raaz unke saaz aur geeton mein chupa hai.

Uski dhun mein barsaat ki thandak, pahadon ki khamoshi aur behte hue jharne ki tezi sab kuch mehsoos hota tha.
Lekin ek din, yeh sab badal gaya. Neelam basti mein ek ajeeb si khamoshi chha gayi. Subah panchi kam gaate the aur shaam ko kisi ghar se sangeet ki koi aawaz nahi aati thi. Logon ke chehron se muskaan gayab ho gayi thi. Unki khushiyon ki 'Sur Taal' (Melody and Rhythm) kahin kho gayi thi.
Baston ke bade-boodhon ne bataya ki yeh sab us din shuru hua jab gaon ke sabse unche pahad par bane 'Sangeet ka Mandir' se uski 'Pavitra Bansuri' chori ho gayi. Yeh bansuri sirf ek saaz nahi thi, yeh Neelam ki sangeetmay aatma ka prateek thi.
Sabne Aarav ki taraf dekha. Woh basti ka sabse behtareen sangeetkar tha. Use hi yeh zimmedari uthani padi ki woh jaakar 'Khoi Hui Sur Taal' ko wapas laaye. Aarav ne bhi yeh zimmedari khushi-khushi sweekar ki.
"Main tab tak chain se nahi baithunga jab tak main 'Pavitra Bansuri' ko wapas nahi laata," Aarav ne basti walon se vaada kiya.
Agli subah, Aarav ne apni purani bansuri aur kuch zaroori saman liya aur apni yatra shuru ki. Uski yatra mushkil thi. Use ghane janglon se guzarana pada jahan raaste bhatkane ka dar tha, oonche pahadon ko chadhna pada jahan har qadam par khatra tha, aur tez bahav wali nadiyon ko paar karna pada.
Uske safar mein pehli mushkil ek 'Andhere Jungle' mein aayi. Yeh jagah itni ghani thi ki suraj ki roshni bhi zameen tak nahi pahunchti thi. Yahan par uski mulaqat ek boodhe sanyasi se hui. Sanyasi ne Aarav se puchha, "Naujawan, tum itni mushkil yatra kyun kar rahe ho? Wapas laut jao."
Aarav ne himmat se jawab diya, "Baba, main apni basti ki khushi wapas laane ja raha hoon. Hamari sangeetmay aatma chori ho gayi hai. Uske bina Neelam bejaan ho jayega."
Sanyasi ne muskura kar kaha, "Har sangeetkar ki sabse badi taqat uske saaz mein nahi, uske dil mein hoti hai. Apne dil ki suno." Sanyasi ne use ek raasta dikhaya jo seedha us taraf jaata tha jahan usne 'Pavitra Bansuri' ko chori karne wale ke baare mein suna tha.
Aarav ne sanyasi ka dhanyavaad kiya aur aage badh gaya.
Lamba safar tay karne ke baad, Aarav aakhirkar ek 'Khamosh Gufa' ke bahar pahuncha. Logon ne bataya tha ki chor ek 'Ekalvasi' tha, jo duniya ke shor se door, is gufa mein rehta tha. Uska naam 'Niranjan' tha aur woh sangeet se nafrat karta tha. Niranjan ka man'na tha ki sangeet logon ko kamzor bana deta hai.
Aarav ne himmat karke gufa ke andar qadam rakha. Gufa ke beech mein, usne Niranjan ko dekha. Niranjan ke chehre par gehri udaasi aur akelapan tha. 'Pavitra Bansuri' uske paas, ek patthar par rakhi thi.
"Tum kaun ho, aur meri khamoshi todne kyun aaye ho?" Niranjan ne gusse se puchha.
"Mera naam Aarav hai. Main Neelam basti se aaya hoon. Main 'Pavitra Bansuri' lene aaya hoon," Aarav ne narm aawaz mein kaha.
"Bansuri? Tum log sirf is lakdi ke tukde ko hi sangeet samajhte ho. Tum nahi jaante ki sangeet kitna dard de sakta hai," Niranjan ne dukhi hote hue kaha. Usne bataya ki bachpan mein uske paas ek bahut pyara geet tha, lekin ek haadse mein jab woh geet kho gaya, tab se usne socha ki sangeet sirf dukhi karta hai. Isliye usne Neelam ki khushi chheen li, taaki kisi aur ko woh dard na mile jo use mila tha.
Aarav samajh gaya. Yeh chori nafrat se nahi, dard aur bhay se hui thi.
"Hum jante hain ki sangeet dard bhi de sakta hai, Niranjan," Aarav ne kaha. "Lekin sangeet hi us dard ko bharne ki taqat bhi rakhta hai. Ek baar meri bansuri suno."
Aarav ne apni purani, ghisi-piti bansuri uthai aur us par ek dhun bajana shuru kiya. Yeh wohi dhun thi jo usne sanyasi ke paas seekhi thi. Us dhun mein na to khushi thi, na udaasi. Usmein sirf shanti aur svikar (acceptance) tha.
Bansuri ki aawaz gufa ki deewaron se takra kar aisi gunji ki Niranjan ki aankhon mein aansu aa gaye. Yeh pehli baar tha jab kisi sangeet ne use sukoon diya tha. Usne mehsoos kiya ki sangeet sirf khushi aur gham ka naam nahi, yeh jeevan ka naam hai. Jismein har rang hai.
Jab dhun khatam hui, Niranjan khamoshi se utha aur usne 'Pavitra Bansuri' ko uthaya aur Aarav ko de diya.
"Tumne mujhe sangeet ka sahi matlab samjha diya, Aarav. Yeh bansuri tumhari basti ki hai, aur tum hi iske asli rakhwale ho," Niranjan ne kaha. Usne vaada kiya ki woh ab sangeet se nafrat nahi karega, balki use sukun dhundhne ka zariya banayega.
Aarav ne 'Pavitra Bansuri' li aur muskurate hue Neelam ki taraf laut pada. Jab woh basti mein wapas aaya, to uske haath mein chamakti hui 'Pavitra Bansuri' dekhkar logon ke chehron par phir se muskaan aagayi.
Aarav ne us bansuri ko 'Sangeet ke Mandir' mein wapas rakh diya. Agle hi pal, panchi phir se zor se gaane lage, aur Neelam ki hawa mein woh khoi hui Sur Taal phir se tairne lagi. Basti ke log naachne lage, aur unki khushiyan wapas laut aayin.
Lekin is baar, unke sangeet mein ek nayi gehrai thi. Unhone sirf khushi ka sangeet nahi, balki Niranjan ke akelapan ka sangeet bhi suna tha.
Aarav ne sabko sikhaya ki asli Sur Taal saaz mein nahi, balki ek doosre ki bhavnaon ko samajhne aur saath rehne mein hai. Aur tab se, Neelam ki basti mein har geet mein samajhdaari aur daya (compassion) ki ek nayi dhun shaamil ho gayi
